Dear parents of children that enter Big Top Candy Shop. I implore you—do not walk your kids through this sugar fantasy of a store, allowing them to touch the plethora of candies and gaze at the delights being made at the soda fountain and then tell them, “No treats today honey, maybe next time we visit.” Oh the cruelty. I wanted to run after the shell-shocked little girl and shove a couple of Zotz in her back pocket. Instead I stocked myself up on nostalgic goodies, many of which were candy mainstays during my formative years—a Pixie Stix a day keeps the doctor away!
