Is there a Church of Fried Chicken? I know there’s a Church of Elvis and a Church of the Sub Genius, but certainly somebody has thought that fried chicken is worthy of a place of worship. In Austin I can think of a couple of different spots that sanctify the bird including Arkie’s Grill. I could go on and on and pontificate up a storm, but all you need to do is take a gander at the hero shot to the left to know this chicken is goooooood. And Arkie’s, like the great roadside diner that it is, serves up a slew of other comforting vittles which makes this place a Church of Delicious.
